Coalition for the Homeless - The nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women and children.

- NYC Supportive Housing - To support individuals and families in need of affordable housing or homelessness prevention resources.

Section 8 HUD - The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.

HEALTH

- Thrive NYC - An unprecedented commitment by the City of New York to create a mental health system that works for everyone.

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene - One of the largest public health agencies in the world.  The challenges we face are many. They range from obesity, diabetes and heart disease to HIV/AIDS, tobacco addiction, substance abuse and the threat of bioterrorism. We’re also working to address enduring gaps in health between white New Yorkers and communities of color.

- NYC Well - We’re here to listen and help with problems like stress, depression, anxiety or drug and alcohol misuse.

- NYC Human Resource Administration - HRA is committed to helping you access our services. If you have a disability, HRA can help by providing supports or accommodations to make it easier for you to get the services you need. This type of help is called a reasonable accommodation.

SENIOR SERVICES

- Housing Options for Seniors - For frail and disabled seniors 60 and older, you can get information about Housing that provides personal care or health care services to residents.   For low-income seniors 62 and older, you can get information about Affordable housing for seniors.

- NYC Department for Aging - (DFTA) is committed to helping them age in their homes and communities. Our mission is to eliminate ageism and ensure the dignity and quality of life of diverse older adults. We also work to support caregivers through service, advocacy, and education.

YOUTH SERVICES

- Generation NYC Foster Youth - Becoming a successful adult takes planning and support from many people, including your family, mentors, caseworkers, and peers. The City has resources to help you leave foster care and thrive into adulthood.

 - New Yorkers for Children   - The Emergency Fund is a unique scholarship program that provides “just-in-time” financial aid to college students who are in the New York City foster care system when personal emergencies become financial crises.

 - The Network Supportive Housing Network Youth Resources   - Homeless, runaway and at-risk youth face a battery of everyday obstacles. You’ll find information and links to some of the resources currently available.

 - NYC Dept. of Youth and Community Development   - DYCD supports New York City youth and their families by funding a wide range of high-quality youth and community development programs, including: After School, Community Development, Family Support, Literacy Services, Youth Services, Youth Workforce Development.

- New York City Green Book Online - The official directory of the City of New York. It is an indispensable reference guide for anyone living or working in New York City. The Green Book includes detailed listings of contacts within each agency.

- New York State Assembly Members - Offer services to the community to help any constituent seeking assistance, and to legislate with the needs of our residents at the forefront.

- New York City Public Advocate - Assists with complaints and inquiries involving government-related services and regulations. From resolving housing complaints to combating abuse by agencies, the Office helps thousands of New Yorkers annually by improving transparency and accountability of City government.

- Mobilization for Justice - To achieve social justice, prioritizing the needs of people who are low-income, disenfranchised or have disabilities.
